PS 2014 Dining Table is a rectangular wooden table with a natural and simple beauty, designed by Mathias Hahn for Ikea. Based around the concept of a traditional kitchen table being the centre of social activity in the house. As living patterns are changing, this table ties in the realities of dining, gathering and occasional home office hours. The drawers on the sides can be equally used to store table ware or equipment, work documents, a laptop or simply work as an extension of the top surface when additional space is needed. Using solid pine a typical Scandinavian material this table is intended to age naturally over time.
