Description / details

Plia is a folding and stacking chair with simple beauty, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli. A lighter-than-air design and sense of wit has earned this timeless chair a place in MoMA's permanent collection. Behind the design lies innovative functionality. The rotating parts are joined at a single pivot point, so the chair folds and unfolds in a smooth, one-handed movement. Changes are quick and easy in event spaces, cafés, and informal meeting areas.
