Nova Chair by ARDE for Mater
Description / details
Nova Chair is a minimal and timeless dining chair designed by Danish design studio ARDE for Mater. Nova means 'new' and refers to the innovative and sustainable technique of moulding 3D veneer. The chair is made of recycled excess pieces of beech veneer, sliced and glued together in a delicate and patented process — thus creating a textual and organic looking surface. The result ensures a beautiful exploitation of raw materials and minimises the amount of waste in veneer production. The 3D veneer allows for the design to shape the wooden chair in a comfortable, light and organic shape. Nova stacks perfectly in six (twelve on a chair trolley) and is available in a choice of three different stains, making it suitable for both commercial and residential use.
